LYRASIS is hosting their annual meeting from 12:30 – 3:00 PM, Central Time, on November 9th, 2011. This year’s meeting theme is “Content, Access and the Role of Libraries in a Connected World.”
The keynote speaker, Siva Vaidhyanathan, is the author of The Googlization of Everything – and Why We Should Worry. He will be speaking on “The Googlelization of Libraries.” This unusual presentation on an important aspect of future library service will be well worth attending.
The first presentation is “Connected Libraries: Creating and Accessing Content with LYRASIS.” The presenters will be Kate Nevins, Executive Director of LYRASIS, and Elizabeth Hammond, the Chair of the LYRASIS Board. This will also be valuable for many Kansas librarians who are learning about LYRASIS.

The annual meeting is free, but registration is requested.
