The novel is set in southwestern Kansas, and hopefully speaks to anyone who loves the shortgrass prairie and cares about its future. Baum, Truman Capote, William Least Heat Moon and Robert Day in a list of the top 12 Kansas favorites...and the only author with TWO TITLES on the list of of 12. I urge Kansans to read his work. It&#039;s laugh-out-loud funny.</description>
